In the modern world, constitution writing or amending can be a bit complicated owing to the dynamic state of the world. The decision makers are often challenged by a deficiency in sufficient knowledge needed to design a helpful constitution. However, thanks to the likes of Sujit Choudhry, constitution building process has been made.

Not long ago, Sujit Choudhry, a renowned professor of law launched the Center of Constitution Transitions. In a recent interview with CEOCFO Magazine, Sujit told Lynn Fosse that his new institution is focused on assisting developing countries to come up with evidence-based policies when writing a constitution. Sujit’s organization works in close collaboration with global NGOs, and think tanks from over 25 countries. The team places the institution on a stable point to understand a country and initiate policies meant to handle the needs of its occupants.

Over his career, Sujit has worked closely with many countries in constitution writing. According to him, lack of updated information needed to implement many policies is a challenge that almost every country faces. Therefore, his new organization would just act as a platform to avail the updated information.

Sujit Choudhry has spent most of his life moving from one country to another either pursuing his education or his career. Sujit told Lynn Fosse that the experience equipped him with the tactics needed to understand a new community. From Sujit’s point of view, most of the countries share similar challenges whether developing or already developed.
