Adam Milstein made his mark in the world of business in the real estate industry. He owns his own company, Hager Pacific Properties, and over the last 40 years built it into a company that has over $2 billion in assets. Adam Milstein owns properties all over the United States including multi-family residential complexes, offices, and retail spaces. This has also enabled him to be a philanthropist who strongly supports the Jewish community, both in the United States and Israel.
Adam Milstein is from Haifa, Israel. Like Adam, his father was also a real estate developer while his mother was a stay at home mom. He grew up mostly in Kiryat Motzkin where his family moved after he was born. He joined the Israeli Defence Forces after graduating from high school and was in the Yom Kippur War. After he left his service he attended Technion and earned a degree in business and economics. A few years later he, and his new wife, Gila, emigrated to the United States and settled in California. Once in California he attended USC and earned his MBA.
As a philanthropist, Adam Milstein helps to connect Jewish youth to their heritage. Through the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, they mentor students and supply them with information about Israel. His extensive giving has resulted in him being named to the Philanthropists & Social Entrepreneurs Top 200 list.
Another way that Adam Milstein works for the Jewish community is by using his time and expertise. He founded the Israeli-American Council. This organization encourages positive relations between the United States and Israel and supports the rights of Isreali-Americans. They also work to influence the U.S.’s foreign policy in regards to Israel and the relationship between the two nations.
Adam Milstein supports his philanthropy in a few other ways as well. He is an author and has had his writing appear in a number of publications around both the U.S. and Israel. He is also a public speaker and talks about issues important to those in his community. One of the beliefs that he pushes during his speeches is that Jewish people need to know Hebrew in order to truly understand their heritage.
